How Long Does Concrete Lifting Take?

A common question we receive during inquiries and quotes is, “How long will it take to lift my concrete?” Simply put, we’re quick and efficient. For the average sunken concrete slab, we typically complete the job within the same day. In this blog post, we’ll walk you through our process and give you a rough idea of how long the concrete lifting will take.

Our Process: How Concrete Raising Works

At The Concrete Lifter, we specialize in concrete raising, a quick and efficient solution for fixing sunken or uneven slabs. The process is straightforward, clean, and effective, making it the preferred method for many homeowners and businesses. Here’s how we do it:

Small Holes Are Drilled
We begin by drilling small 5/16″ diameter holes into the concrete slab. These holes are discreet and barely noticeable once the work is completed, so there’s no damage to the surface.

Polyurethane Foam is Injected
Through the holes, we inject a specialized polyurethane foam. This foam is carefully fed through a hose and fills the void beneath the slab. As it expands, the foam lifts the concrete back to its original position.

Lifting the Slab
The foam continues to expand, gently raising the slab. The process is precise, ensuring that the slab is lifted evenly without causing damage to the surrounding area.

Quick Curing
One of the key advantages of concrete raising is the rapid curing time of the polyurethane foam. Unlike traditional methods that require long drying times, the foam cures sufficiently within minutes, allowing you to use the surface almost immediately.

This method is much less intrusive than pouring new concrete, as there’s no need for demolition, debris removal, or extended downtime.

How Long Does Concrete Raising Take?

One of the most common questions we get is, “How long does concrete lifting take?” The great news is that concrete raising is a fast process.

For the average sunken concrete slab, the job is typically completed within hours. From drilling the holes to injecting the foam and lifting the slab back into place, the entire process can usually be finished in a single day. Since the polyurethane foam cures in just minutes, you can start using the treated area almost immediately—whether it’s a driveway, sidewalk, or patio.

This quick turnaround makes concrete raising the ideal solution when you need minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
